Terms and conditions

These terms apply to every reservation at Pelican Point. Booking a stay means you accept them.

Agreement to terms

By booking a stay at Pelican Point, you agree to these terms. The reservation is for the guests named in the booking only. The person who completes the booking must be at least 25 years old and must occupy the property for the full stay.

Use of the property

Pelican Point is a private vacation cabin on Little Pelican Lake. It is intended only for short-term lodging by confirmed guests. Commercial use, events, filming, or anything other than a personal family or group stay is not allowed without written permission from the owners.

Occupancy and house rules

The cabin accommodates up to 5 guests. The guest count on your reservation must match the number of people staying overnight. Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the cabin. Fires are only permitted in the provided fire pit or other designated areas. Guests must follow all local laws, lake rules, and neighborhood expectations for noise and conduct.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in is at or after 3:00 PM. Check-out is by 11:00 AM, unless a different time has been agreed to in writing. Early check-in or late check-out may be possible by arrangement, but they are not guaranteed.

Pets and animals

Pets are not permitted unless a written pet agreement has been made before arrival. If a pet is brought without permission, the stay may be terminated without refund and additional cleaning fees may apply.

Cleaning and damages

The cabin is cleaned before each stay. Guests are expected to leave the property tidy, with dishes washed and trash removed to the provided bins. Excessive cleaning or damage beyond ordinary wear will be charged to the card on file, including any costs for repairs or replacement.

Liability and indemnification

Pelican Point has a lake, dock, beaches, fire pit, and natural terrain. Guests use the property, waterfront, and equipment at their own risk. Swimming, paddling, and other water activities are not supervised. The owners are not liable for personal injury, loss, theft, or damage to personal property during your stay. By booking, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the owners from any claims arising from your use of the property.

Force majeure

The owners are not responsible for events beyond their control, including severe weather, power outages, water conditions, wildfire smoke, road closures, or acts of nature that affect your stay. No refunds will be given for circumstances outside the owners' control, unless otherwise covered by your travel insurance.

Cancellation and refund policy

If you cancel more than 14 days before arrival, you will receive a refund of any amounts paid. Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable, unless the owners are able to rebook the same nights to another guest. In that case, a prorated refund may be issued.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. Any dispute will be resolved in Crow Wing County or another appropriate court in Minnesota.
